Key industry figures add years of experience to Neptunus team

Temporary structure specialist Neptunus has made four key appointments to welcome some of the industry’s best-known talents to its team. Expanding its operation in the UK, Neptunus Managing Director April Trasler is delighted to announce that Rob Smith has been named a Site Operations Manager, while Richard Treml is a new Project Manager overseeing major events for the Northampton-based company. Liz Lowther has been appointed in the role of Logistics Co-ordinator and Lisa Hyatt brings a wealth of experience to her role as Project Co-ordinator.

With 18 years in the industry, Rob has worked his way through numerous positions to build an unrivalled understanding of client needs and expectations.

From a site operative erecting temporary structures early in his career to most recently managing large-scale overlay contracts, including the delivery of 60,000 square metres of temporary structures at the 2012 Olympics, Rob is looking forward to the new challenges ahead.

He said: “Neptunus has the vision and equipment to take on the really complex projects within our industry which I am really keen to be involved in. In fact, the more complex and difficult, the better for me! Delivering an exceptional service to clients while protecting the commercial business interests of my employer is a key skill I have developed over many years  and I’m looking forward to being the person who pulls everything together to the mutual satisfaction of everyone involved.”

Project Manager Richard has 16 years’ experience working for some of the biggest names in the business, usually in project management and business development roles with a strong sales element.
He said: “Every project is different, as are the requirements of each client, and each site has its quirks which makes it a very interesting industry to work in.

“One of my strengths, I think, is being able to talk quite openly and frankly with each client in order to achieve the best results for them. Neptunus is a big name in the industry in the UK, and Europe, working on some really interesting jobs. It has some great people working here so I’m really keen to get involved and play my part.”

Having already worked with April Trasler on different projects in the past, Lisa is excited to be renewing their professional relationship at Neptunus where she will be a guiding light to clients as they navigate the process from initial sales enquiry through to the contractual stage, in particular for events and semi-permanent buildings.

“There is a lot of planning involved in every project and I’m there to make sure that everything is organised, well thought out and that nothing has been forgotten. Neptunus offers the opportunity to be part of a growing company and I’m looking forward to helping build its reputation even further,” Lisa said.

Liz started with Neptunus in April on a temporary part-time basis and, with a proven record of excellent organisation skills and meticulous attention to detail, has now accepted a full-time position as a Logistics Co-ordinator.

“I was doing a lot of jobs in my admin roles at Neptunus that will be required in my new position, organising hotels for the operations teams and making sure equipment is where it should be when it’s needed. The challenge of learning something new is very attractive, and it’s good to now be able to get my teeth into projects that I have complete responsibility for,” she said.

Managing Director April Trasler said: “Neptunus has achieved significant growth in the UK market since we re-launched here five years ago. Our entire team strives to provide a first-class service to clients and the appointment of Rob, Richard, Lisa and Liz is another step on this journey, reflecting our commitment to attracting the very best industry professionals. I have no doubt that they will play a large part in the continued success of Neptunus and welcome them warmly to the team.”
