Neptunus scoop fourth Festival Supplier Award for developing ‘game changer’ temporary structure for Tomorrowland

Northampton, January 30th, 2023:  Neptunus has won the award for ‘Best Bespoke/Unique Structure’ at the 2023 Festival Supplier Awards in recognition of its revolutionary Poseidon creation for Tomorrowland, one of the world’s largest and most iconic music festivals.

Tomorrowland’s organisers constantly challenge designers to come up with exciting new creations for the event. For the 2022 edition Neptunus’ technical team introduced Poseidon, named after the Greek God of the Sea. The stunning circular structure with a free span of 45 metres and internal height of 14 metres incorporated a waterfall in the centre to complete the spectacular effect for the festival’s ‘Dreamcatcher’ Terrace.  It formed part of over 12,000 square metres of bespoke temporary infrastructure that Neptunus supply to the event each year.

Commenting on the winning submission, Festival Supplier Award judges said that “the sheer versatility of this unique structure is a game changer” and praised Neptunus for developing “world class and novel temporary structures”.

Antoine Eilers, Director of Neptunus, who attended the awards ceremony in London with UK Managing Director Ben Keast and other senior company representatives, thanked the judges. He said: “We are honored to have been selected as the winner of the Best Bespoke/Unique Structure. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the team at Tomorrowland for their support and collaboration in bringing The Poseidon to life. It wouldn’t be possible to create this amazing structure without their designs and ideas on how to create this amazing atmosphere along with the collaboration of our in-house design team, technical expertise and fantastic build teams.”

Neptunus are the preferred temporary structure supplier to the Tomorrowland electronic music festival, held in Boom, Belgium, over three weekends each July, which attracts over 600,000 visitors from more than 200 countries.

The Poseidon is multi-functional and can be built without a waterfall. It is an ideal space solution for high-profile corporate events, sports events, fashion shows and product launches.

It is the fourth time that Neptunus, whose UK headquarters are based in Northampton, have won a major award at the annual Festival Supplier Awards. Neptunus have picked up the trophy for ‘Best Temporary Structure Supplier’ on three previous occasions.  The company was also shortlisted in two other categories, Best New Product / Service of the Year and Best Visual Spectacular.
