RHS Chelsea Flower Show Temporary VIP Hospitality Structures
The Assignment
The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show is the UK’s most prestigious horticultural event, welcoming around 160,000 visitors each year. Neptunus has provided structures and fit out services to areas providing hospitality for VIP’s, corporate client and exhibitors creating fining dining restaurants to exhibitors restaurants and bars.
The Royal Horticultural Society requires a flexible, high quality supplier who is able to work safely within the prestigious surroundings and respecting the challenges of the site and the beautiful gardens.

The Solution
Neptunus creates the beautiful Spring Garden Hospitality Village at the Chelsea Flower Show using two Alure Globe structures, each measuring 12m x 50m, complemented by shade canopies and decked walkways. With extra large glass vision panels and an innovative curved roof with covered overhang balcony the distinctive appearance creates an impression of quality and luxury.
Across the showground Neptunus also supplies the QEII Pavilion with an Alure Globe structure and has provided this as a two storey Evolution structure in recent years as well as alu hall structures for restaurants, bandstands, public catering and essential services including the Police, ticketing and cloakrooms.
It takes Neptunus technicians and wider team 18 days to deliver this turnkey project, which is complete with interior fit-out, carpets, toilets and air-conditioning.

The Challenges
These high-profile projects within historically important grounds present significant challenges to ensure the gardens are not damaged during the build programme.
Neptunus collaborates closely with the Chelsea Flower Show site management team to plan and carry out the installations, ensuring the grounds are protected throughout.
All of the structures are swiftly dismantled and removed after the event, and all the components are returned to Neptunus’ hire stock for future reuse.
The Verdict
“The intention when bringing Neptunus to Chelsea in its centenary year was to improve the quality and finish of certain structures,” commented Caroline Hills, Head of Shows Operations, The Royal Horticultural Society.
“Neptunus have built the Hospitality Village, Exhibitors Restaurant, Chelsea Graze, Bandstand and other smaller structures, bringing great improvements to the quality, look and feel of the show. Their flexibility, particularly when building the Exhibitors Restaurant and Hospitality Village, has proved perfect to ensure the fit of the structures in very restricted areas.”
As a trusted supplier and installer of high quality structures, the RHS has awarded Neptunus contract extensions for the flower shows.
