The 350 years of Saint–Gobain in a Neptunus temporary structure

From 15 to 31 October 2015 one of the oldest companies in the CAC 40 French stock market index, Saint-Gobain, celebrates its 350th anniversary. Represented in 64 countries and employing about 185,400 people, Saint-Gobain chose the Place de la Concorde in Paris to acknowledge the milestone. Working with FC2 Events, Neptunus was asked to provide a 400 square metre structure facing the Obelisk of Luxor.

For the celebration Saint-Gobain issued a challenge: to offer a sensory and artistic experience to the general public in four major cities worldwide. Four pavilions, called "Sensations Futures" were devised depicting the company’s capacity for innovation and its exceptional expertise in the field of construction. After Shanghai in January, São Paulo in April, and Philadelphia in May, the pavilions made their way to Paris.

Temporary Pavillion

A 5th pavilion of 400 square metres was specially installed in Paris by temporary structure specialist Neptunus. FC2 Events chose Neptunus’ Evolution II model because it is versatile, aesthetically pleasing and has the technical capacity superior to other products on the market. With an outer height of 8m, the Evolution created an impressive appearance with excellent branding opportunities, including through the installation on the main façade of a green wall.

At the end of the event, Neptunus will dismantle the structure without trace with the components returned to its warehouses for future use.
Tom Ambaum, Sales Director of Neptunus, said: "The characteristics of the structure, including its easy installation, large free span and its exclusive appearance filled the needs and requirements of FC2 Events. We are very proud to be part of the Saint-Gobain adventure with them.”
