Neptunus provides temporary space at Floriade 2012
The world horticultural exhibition has been held since 1851 throughout the world and gives countries the opportunity to showcase their economic, social, cultural and technological developments. This year Floriade will be held near Venlo, a city on the German/Dutch border, and will cover 66 hectares, which will be divided into five unique worlds. Each ‘world’ has its own setting, programme and activities, and allows visitors to experience nature in a different way. Neptunus has built various temporary pavilions in all parts of the Floriade grounds.
One of the most striking buildings is the Innovatoren, the major landmark at the Floriade. Neptunus has constructed a conference centre adjacent to this impressive tower, which hosts around 2000 m2 of accommodation. This will provide the backdrop in the coming months for presentations, congresses and meetings.
In addition to this work for the organisers, Neptunus is a participant in the ‘Friend of the Floriade’ initiative and has constructed accommodation within the venue for several exhibitors. Neptunus is currently constructing the Yemen country pavilion and two temporary buildings in ‘the different worlds’ for VHG-HIC.
