Neptunus creates exhibition space for new Technopop festival

Leading temporary structure specialist Neptunus is supporting young people’s interest in STEM subjects by creating a venue for the first Technopop event, a pop-up Science, Technology, Design and Innovation Festival, being held in Stratford City’s International Quarter this October.

Aimed at six to 19-year-olds, Technopop, which runs from 8th October to 2nd November, invites visitors to explore Aviation, Weather and Space Exploration, Technology, the Built Environment and Sport Science & The Human Body and more across four themed weeks.

Neptunus’ Project Director Ben Keast said: “We are supplying two 32-metre Alu Hall structures which are ideally suited to events of this kind due to their versatility, robust exterior and level flooring. The structures will provide 3000 sq metres of space for up to 3,000 daily visitors across cafĂ© areas, classrooms, exhibition space and an auditorium during the four-week festival.”

The venue will take five days to build, with Neptunus’ crew returning to dismantle the temporary building over four days. Neptunus Managing Director April Trasler said: “Technopop is an exciting new festival that we will be working with for the next three years. Our temporary structures afford the organisers the flexibility of space required by an evolving event and potential to expand their venue as the festival grows in future. We are now looking forward to a highly successful event.”

Technopop Production Manager Caroline Johnson said: “We chose Neptunus for their service offering and the quality of their products, which were showcased to us at another site. This enabled us to view the products first hand and explore all the possibilities for our event.  The level of customer service Neptunus have shown to date is outstanding.”
