Tent ‘collapses’ during art fair

This heading sounds more dramatic than it actually is. Neptunus created a very special tent structure for a project at the famous Frieze Art Fair in London.

Each year a number of artists present a project at Frieze - the renowned exhibition of modern art in London. The Polish artist Monika Sosnowska used a tent in her creation. Neptunus made an important contribution to this project.

The project featured a model of the unpopular Palace of Culture in Warsaw dropped onto the entrance to the structure being used as one of the exhibition halls. This collapse obviously did not actually happen, but Neptunus had to think long and hard to create this impression for the tent, especially as this is something quite rare to us! A special beam for the structure was created to simulate the collapse of the tent. Of course, this “collapsed tent” also had to comply with all safety and building regulations.

The spectacular result attracted numerous visitors to the Frieze Art Fair, which took place this year from 15 to 18 October.
