From Venice to Cowes and Amsterdam to Almería….. Neptunus has been travelling through Europe with the iShares Cup for the past few months and built luxury hospitality villages everywhere they went.
In collaboration with OC Events and SLS Group, Neptunus travelled to six European locations where the iShares Cup took place. Forty of the world’s best sailors competed in ten teams in the iShares Cup in ´Extreme 40´ catamarans. Sailing takes place close to the shore during this spectacular race, so the public has a clear view of the speed and sensation of the catamarans.
The third edition of the iShares Cup commenced on 15 May this year in Venice, Italy. For the start of the 2009 Cup, the hospitality and press village was installed by Neptunus under extraordinary circumstances - all
materials were transported by barge to the site and it was impossible to use a forklift once at the location.
After the races in Hyères (South of France), Cowes (UK), Kiel (Germany) and Amsterdam, the last race took place in Almería (Spain). In every location, the hospitality villages were adapted to the site. Alternating Penthouse halls, Alu halls and various pagoda pavilions were built during the tour.     |  |
