Spengler Cup, Davos
Spectacular ice hockey matches, wintery conditions; Neptunus supplied the temporary structures for the Spengler Cup held in Davos, Switzerland. In wintery conditions, Neptunus constructed the temporary VIP accommodation close to the stadium. An Evolution was used as a VIP reception area. To maximise the available space, the hall was fitted with a mezzanine floor with a surface of 1000 square metres. A Penthouse was the logistic hub for the catering and kitchen staff. Neptunus supplied the project turn-key; climate control was installed, the catering tent fitted with a goods lift and the public areas fully decorated and furnished. The Spengler Cup is traditionally held between Christmas and New Year. Five ice hockey teams invited to compete from various countries, battle for the prestigious cup in a tournament lasting five days. This tournament is an immensely popular event on the ice hockey calendar, and attracts huge public interest; the tickets are completely sold out long before the tournament starts.
