Earlier this year Neptunus were approached by Event Management Company Inneventive who have the exclusive rights to a prime summer event venue in the City of London.  Sugar Quay is a jetty on the River Thames with spectacular views of Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. The challenge was to maximise covered space with a temporary structure with minimum links and internal legs on the unusual shaped deck to create optimal capacity.

Neptunus supplied three Alu Halls in narrow widths; interlinked to accommodate the footprint of the jetty. Special parts were manufactured to ensure the main structure fitted between lamp posts and railings at the narrowest point.  Glass walls supplied the view and the interior was fitted with tack-off lining, tasteful décor and luxury washrooms to create the perfect environment.

The client’s brief required that there was also extensive external guest terrace areas but as the jetty surface was an expensive wooden decking conventional fixing methods could not be used. Neptunus suggested their concrete floor sections which slot into the standard cassette system and remain unseen and within the structure footprint. 

The Neptunus structures were in place at Sugar Quay during June and July and with a capacity of up to 500 guests it was a popular location for a variety of corporate summer parties, lunches, drinks receptions and barbeques.
